How tight are the headbolts supposed to be tightened on an '87 22R engine? How about the intake and exhaust manifold bolts? Jerry

Here ya go.Cylinder head to cylinder block-800kgm/cm- 58ft/lbs- 78n/m. Intake manifold to cyl.head-195/ 14/ 19. Exhaust manifold to cyl. head-450/ 33/ 44. Need the torque patterns?Tom

The manual's down in the garage...
Tighten in 3 passes, torque on final pass. There are 10 bolts. The center 2 are #'s 1and 2. (#1 being on the driver's side).Forward of those are bolts # 6&4.(6 is on the driver's side. Are you seeing my pattern here? ) Forward of those are bolts # 8&10. Aft of the center 2 are bolts # 3&5, and behind those are bolts # 9&7. Think it might behoove you to purchase a manual? Good luck.
