Do you mean the window rubber or the door weather stripping? I don't know in either case, just wondered which you meant.
I meant the door weather stripping...

Well, if you decide to do it yourself, it's really easy. Well, maybe it's different on a 74 SB but it was really easy on my 70 Std.
The only think to disconnect is the little pin the holds the arm that keeps the door from opening too far. Pull out the old weather stripping, fit the new one (spend $$ for a good pair from aircooled.net or Wolfsburg West) loosely in place, then pull a section loose and apply weather stripping cement behind it and push it snugly in place until you have gone around the entire door. Make sure the stripping is pushed deeply as it will go into the channel as you do this. Then put the little arm back using the pin. Finally slam the door shut to make sure the stripping is held in place as it cures.
Takes longer cleaning the old stripping out (using a couple wooden popsicle sticks so the paint doesn't get scratched) than it does to put the new stuff in.
