Our 1969 bug came complete (for a lack of a better term) with a set of rear pop-out windows - but they came in a box, so we never saw them in the car. We are in the process of ordering and replacing window seals, etc. until we get the body back from the painter, as usual we've run into a bit of a snag. The replacement rubber trim available for '69 windows is rubber with the alum trim piece (this is what we chose for the front and rear windows), what we currently have is a pop-out window with all metal trim and a little rubber seal, which when ordering replacement parts only appears to be available for a '64 and earlier.
So:
Will these windows, which appear to come from an older bug, fit in our '69 bug?
If not could we change the older trim to the newer rubber and trim to fit the window or would we have to replace the entire pop window?
