Decking completed

Still have to build one set of steps and do the rails and a little trim work, but the frame and decking are DONE. [:D]

Awesome job Shag. I bet it's stronger than the house.

Looking good. Now you only need to ready the pool for the winter. #8~] Any further pics of the HD? I think you said some more mods were on their way, no?

There will be more to come on the bike but... I only have so much time/money. :-) Have turned over 700 miles on the bike so far, have only had it up to

92 mph and it felt like it was running out of steam. I don't think it'll do over 110 mph or so but I didn't buy it to ride fast so that's ok. Damn, it sounds good. I've managed to get it leaned over in some twisty turns enough to scrape the foot pegs on it. WAHOOO! Who said a Harley can't handle? Next mod to the bike will be forward controls. I just ordered some "grip mitts" for it that get attached to the handlebar grips... they are like um... mitts... and you put your hands in them. For cold weather riding. They look like this:

One per grip. A guy I talked to said he rides with "summer gloves" (perforated) with those grip mitts in 27 degree weather and has no problems with his hands getting cold. Sweet. Just what I need.

Yup, we call them Muffs, probably from the English lingo. The ones up here are often lined and rather thick, for scooters you also get hotcovers wich you strap on to the leg shield, covers your legs and front up til your neck like a blanket. That and a windshield + winter tires you are good to go even in the snow. We have some who drive their scooters all year round up here, all days exept those with heavy snowfall you are good to go..

Does this make you a certified YUPPIE?

Hey, a little roof over the basement entry would help when it rains.

Great work. Wish I had done it... but then, I'd need a decent house.

Get some heated grips... I've seen folks in Finland run those too.

I've got some on my gsx-r. I like them ok, but so far the best thing I've used is heated gloves. A harness wires direct into the battery and you run the wires up through your jacket and down the sleeves to the gloves. I could ride in 20 degree weather with those things. Unfortunately when I sold my Warrior, I forgot to remove the wiring harness. I still have the gloves, but can't plug them up. :-) I'm gonna give the mitt things a try since they're so inexpensive. I've heard really good feedback about them so far.
