Early Porsche cooling

Did the 356s and 912 have the same problem of the #3 cylinder overheating because they had the cooling shroud similar to the early Vws (non doghouse)? How did Porsche deal with this?


Actually, the #3 retard is function of the lobes that the points ride on, not the cap.
