How are the pillars on your bug.

Out of the zillion bugs I've seen at shows haven't seen this one.... gull wings and suicide seem the more common.

I have been looking at how to do that for some time now and I can't see how I can get it to work. It looks as if there is too much in the way to be able to come up, every thing is to strait up and down where it needs to hinge. It would be very cool if you could get it to work. I have even been thinking about suicide doors with it, just switch the brackets around and it might work??? Think about that, would that not be different. One thing that I did is rehinge my hood to open backwards. It comes up, out, and over, it gives my car a really cool look. The hardest part is getting it to clear the front bumper. Had to make slides to get it up and over the bumper. You might want to try some thing custom like that, I have not seen another one like it yet.

Hey, can you give me some more info on your hood? that sounds really cool. Can you send me pics?? I think these doors will work. If you look under the instal directions, it seems you have to be able to get into the fender....the "shock" thingy has to resess into the vertical part of the door....so you'd have to do some serious modding. Probably look to the pro's for this job. Thanks ~Peace~ Justin
