front suspension question

Do you have the older frame head, a bunch of time, a micrometer and a plethra of patience... then it's a snap.

If not you have good trading material.

Can you strip the brakes, steering, and torsion arms from a 74 ball joint assembly and install them on a bare king/link beam? I have 3 later model front ends but have aquired a bugpack bigboy rail frame set up for the king/link front end. wont work. Am trying to figure out whether it it easier to reconfigure the frame to fit or to buy a bare king/link beam and try to change over. have a complete welding shop so that is not going to be a problem but if it takes to many dollars to change the beam that might be the only option. I think for ease of it I would rather bolt than weld. what is your opinion??? Bob Johnston

Changing a ball joint to a king is easier ( Just cut back the frame a ittle ) It's still do-able but involves some cutting, bending and welding the frame tube to mount up the beams .... Much easier to find a king pin beam and slap it on ....
