Why would you duct hot air into the carb unless you live in Siberia? Ouch it needs all that work and you want $800 over price when new?

It's to help prevent carburator icing. And if it's a real daily driver you don't have to live in Siberia to need it.

With regard to the warm air intake: I've run it with and without the preaheat air intake. It runs much better with the preheated air. What can I say? I've driven it daily through all seasons (ice, snow, lots of rain, and a the few very hot days we get in the summer, too, here in the USA Pacific NW). It does really well now that I've set up the ducting. I relied on this car to get me to and from work year-round, as well as to meetings and soccer games, etc. The only time I got stuck was when the fuel pump failed; luckily I was able to fix it on the spot (the pump rocker pin wiggled out, and I pushed it back into place and secured it).

It's not a perfect car. If it were, I'd be asking $10,000, not $2250. If the price is too high for you, feel free to make a lower offer. :)

Thanks for looking, Wolfgang. I guess.

BTW, the pans are solid and there is no rust except for a bit at the bottom of one door. It's not a bad price, relatively speaking.

All is remarkably solid. Pans/battery tray are solid. I really hate to sell this car!
