Could someone please give me a suggestion on how to remove the glue from the headliner that has been replaced in my beetle? I had someone suggest mineral spirits but that didn't work. Thanks!

"Goof off" liquid lighter fluid wd40 or possibly even denatured alcohol...

Try turpentine the real stuff (gum turpentine) not a synthetic. It will soften or dissolve many glues and should not harm vinyl.
