headliner adhesive?

I'm sure it has been asked and answered 100s of times and I apologize for that but one can never remember the information which he believes he will never have any use for.

What kind of adhesive is best for gluing in headliners?

I've tried a couplpe and they either melt in the heat or just soak the headliner.

Any tricks of the trade?

3M spray "Super Trim Adhesive". Spray evenly on both surfaces, position in place, & stick them together. You can use it to stick foam to the roof, then vinyl to the foam. I've used it for years & it's never gave me any trouble. Been holding the headliner up in my Blue Bug for several years now. HTH, ~ Paul aka "Tha Driver"

Completely agree. It's not cheap, but it works well. Works great on carpeting, too.
