Troubles with the shift rod. I replaced the bushing and coupler the first time, eventually the bushing popped out. Drilled out the spot welds and replaced the shift rod bracket and bushing again. Today it popped out again. I'm assuming that the rod is now worn beyond spec from years of driving with no grommet whatsoever. Anyone have a spare that hasn't been worn and will fit a '66 Beetle? I'm unsure of what years are interchangeable. TIA,
