No spark at coil.. 67 Bug

Greetings guys and gals..

I trailered this 67 Bug home to the east coast from WA state last week, threw a battery in her, and she fired right up.. drove her up and down the street for a few minutes, and after coming back later in the day all Im getting is cranking.

No spark from the coil wire.. any way of testing what might be the problem?

that sitesinfo, and im gettin no power to the 15+ with the ignition switch turned tothe on position.

I am however getting power to two of the 3 wires comin out of the back of the ignition switch.. those being the smaller red wire, that goes up to the light relay, and the green wire, that splits off and goes to the speedo.

Any ideas?

im not really sure, but this happened to me too. dont be sure im right tho im just a kid. well anyways, check the battery first, becuz mine was cranking, but the battery was dead. also check the fuses under the dashboard. maybe the red fuse all the way to the left might be old or busted. replace them and see what happens. it happened to me and then mine was working fine. good luck

remove the distributor cap and rotor button...(and dust shield if your distributor has it...check your points and make sure they are closed...turn on the ignition then place your coil wire(distributor end of it) close to the engine case....open the points manually with a screw driver..you should see spark....if not the condensor can be bad....if you find the points or condensor are bad replace both...

Guessing---bad Ignition switch. The wire from the back of the switch to the Coil #15 should be a Blk wire. Look for that and test it. That wire should go to the Fuse block (although there is NO fuse for the coil).
