quite impressive...how about the "i won" at the recent show? you didn't win anything, and that ghia got a trophy by default... reality is very tough for you to grasp...

Not that I would want you to bug the owner by asking him but the truth is nthat was done as a quick restoration and no noit meant to be a show car.
Sorry its not my fault that there are very few to no Ghias even at that quality (not to bust on the 63 ghia vert that won but theres just a piece of metal for the battery tray.
As for as that goes all the VW's I have done over the years have only been done as daily drivers but end up winning at shows again not my fault including the 64 that Henry Z didn't let get thru the gate before asking to do a photo shoot.
Insted of being a whinner about this all Chris come to my shop and look at my work Bring a camera or others and find out why people call me an artist Not everyone has rust free VW's like yours and need me to fix them.
Say what you want but as long as people come to my shop and see the quality of my work all your bitching means nothing and I don't see you telling the people that have the only car in clas that the work is hack. =2E

you don't know the difference between asking you (repeatedly) to explain why a "show" restoration is a bunch of bondo, rust, and running paint, and whining...that's pretty sad...
I've said before, there is nothing wrong with doing daily driver work, but you like to try and stroke your ego with calling some s***ty work "show winning"... a second place in a class isn't a "win", maybe you could say it "placed" in it's class, but to "win" a show, that is only one position..."best of show"... If the *only* person in a class has a car that is a hackjob and it wins first, i'd be more than willing to tell them it's subpar. You have yet to make good on Joan's "restoration" and you never will...you screwed her and are proud of it..that's why no one thinks you are worth the oxygen it takes to keep you allive...
I've fixed many rusty vw's over the years, but have yet to slather a car in filler, spray it till it runs, then call it a restoration... if your customers enjoy putting their car in a show, and it places(even last) i say more power to them, but bragging on subpar work and calling it "show quality" to try to elevate yourself and your work, is nothing but bullshit.... as i told you before i won a big ass trophy for "best in class" with a car that had peeling paint, and a primered hood...missing hubcaps and nearly no interior...but i would never have refered to it as a "show car"...

I challenge you to cough up the name of ONE satisified customer, f*****ad. Just the mere fact that you haven't yet proves you're worthless.

This was his reply to a post on Auto Parts Rants on the type 2 list: [I LOVE the last sentence, Joan should get her money back for that one!]
"I try to use only quality parts, not sure if it was said but quality parts fit better and have a better chance at working.
I had to return a battery twice to a chain parts store, and what a hassle they gave me.
I get parts from most of the venders and they know quality is everything to me.
I don't get paid for replacing bad parts.

an honest businessman wouldn't have charged her for shoddy work(that he claims he didn't do) or for parts she didn't get, or for a quick and dirty respray that had so much orange peel and runs in it.... but the first three words of my first sentence say it all... a good bodyman wouldn't have done all that crap, so that also says alot...
