And to think that I owned one of those and curtained all the windows. :) Then I blew it up in the deep rural South and sold it on the spot. If you live long enough, stuff happens.

I stand corrected, I saw the initial ad on thesamba's mainpage while looking for parts, so decided to look at the split-window deluxe buses found this. Ouch + 4k

I paid a little less than that for all five of the vehicles sitting in my driveway. Two of those vehicles are 2000 or newer models, too. Of course, none of them are a sweet looking 21/23 window ride, though. I'd be afraid to drive something that old and that expensive. I can just see the insurance company balking on paying for it.

That is $51,000 more that I paid for my 67. Just who is buying these $50,000 buses. Are they investors or speculators. The average VW person could not afford one of those.
