Rare Bug Parts

Hey,

I work part time at a VW graveyard/restoration shop, and theses guys want to get rid of a bunch of stuff they have laying around (on ebay most likely). I'm looking for some book or a website or a person, that I can use to identify parts. For example, we have a crate full of speedos, I know some of them are a dime a dozen, but how would I know if one or two were "hard to find" original equipment? Any one out there got a website with side by comparisons, or know of a good book that will work?

Really only the 100mph superbeetle speedos, or the 90mph with the slip in gas gauges are the only ones I'd consider a "dime a dozen" but rmember probably 80% of the Bugs on the road will use one of these two gauges. Your 80mph speedos, along with the bus and Type 3 speedos, part #'s begin with 211 or 311 respectivley, are somewhat rare and could command more money.

any with seperate trip meters are rare. Also vdo tachs the same diameter as the speedometers are rare. I have one in my Puma and some were installed in Karman Ghias also instead of clocks.
