Re: 1960 Bug Turn signal quesiton

Could just be for a standard T1 instead of a deluxe. I have one new in the box... I'll go look in a bit.

My Bug did not come with a t-signal switch. I got ahold of a three wire one > thinking that was what I needed since my '60 Ghia uses one. Thanks to Speedy > Jim's web site I realized it was a wrong assumption. I actually need a six > wire, which I got an old one of around the gargage. I wonder though if it will > work. It has six wires, but it is black. It looks just like my three wire one > other wise. the wires are colored 1-black/orange, 2-black/green, 2-black/white, > 1 black/green/white. It has a part number 8171 SAE QB 63. Anyone know if this > will work for my Bug? > --Dan E

Hey Dan,

Here's what I have in the box... it's an SWF t.s. switch in the OG colour - HLS 62 SAE QB64 SWF .

For wires it has:

1-Black/yellow 1-Black/red 1-Black/white 1-Black/green 1-Black/grey 1-Black/white/green

All wires have female connectors, the black/white/green one being slightly (4 inches) longer than the rest.

Hope that helps?

If you need I could look at the OG switch in the car.

Thanks Gaz, That matched what mine has. The colors are way faded, but using a little colored creative license I guess it matches, except i have two very distinctly green wires.
