Religious fanatics will do all they can to promote their agenda. Whether Christians or whatever, they're all jerks & very dangerous both physicly & politicly (although I think the Christians are the worst). They don't care about anyone but themselves. Too bad we have to put up with them. BTW I try to live a good life, & not hurt others in any way. If I remember correctly, that's what Christ taught. They don't seem to be very Christ-like some of these christians.

If they want to follow "the rules" then maybe they should follow ALL of the rules.

Go easy on Christians. I am an Episcopal priest and witness to my belief in Christ. I have no idea what the spammer said because I don't read that stuff myself. Are they Christians? If they say so. Are the Terrorists in Iraq Moslem? I guess if they say so. Are those that condemn them and call them infidels Moslem? I guess if they say so. Using broad labels is a dangerous thing and I doubt really speaks your personal beliefs. Go after those who use any religious label to propagate a personal agenda but please don't condemn those of us who are avowed followers of Christ and who try to follow his teachings. By the way, I am restoring a 70 Ghia Vert which is in the hands of a painter and final body work man at the present. I have bought everything but a few small items (in size not especially $$) already and am roaring to go. have been a readeer of this list for years. Tim Klopfenstein

I have no problem with God, it's his followers that seem to want stick their fingers in my business. Everyone should be free to worship as they believe but the distance between their religion and my government is called freedom and I think that is what we are fighting for......Right? I did and my youngest son after 8 years in the Air force reserve is going Army active for the same reasons. Put your actions to work and support the VA (which is supporting our troops if they come home), not larger death benefits if they don't.

Whenever I hear someone claim that the nuttier sects in Christiandom are proof that Christianity is more bad than good compared to other beliefs, all I can think of is those videos from a few years back of the Taliban executing old women in front of cheering crowds in that soccer stadium in Kabul. Extremism and out-of-control zealotry is always the work of the Devil as far as I can tell. Religion can used by bad people for bad purposes no matter what sectarian label they use as a cover.

I hope everyone realizes my comments were generalizations. I don't think I said *all* Christians are fanatics/hurtful. I *do* believe Christians are the worst about promoting their agenda, to the point of ignoring parts of the Bible (such as "Judge not lest you be judged"). I'm just speaking from my own personal experiences, your mileage may vary. :-) More on me: I was raised in the Church Of God, but my own personal beliefs do not precisely match any specific church teachings/beliefs. Am I a Christian(?) - some would say yes, some would say no. I will say this: It's folks like this spammer (among many many personal experiences with Christians) that persuaded me to stop going to church. Okay. I'm impressed. You're an Episcopal priest, and yet you've been reading our filth (I'll take the responsibility for a good majority of the filth :) for years and never tried to save our wicked souls by cramming anything down our throats. You are truly a great example of God's love and patience, and you must have a good grip on the Judge not lest ye be judged rule to put up with us. I know Jan and I both avoid organized churches for the same reason Paul does. Too bad there aren't more people like you out there in the churches, Tim.

Episcopalianss believe in love not judgment. God can handle the judgment stuff without my help. He does need help in propagating love. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,"filth", as you put it, probably is too Kidd. Tim
