Will a set of rims from a 2000 jetta fit a 2000 bug?
Yes, but they will look really stupid, as the Beetle Rims are 16" and the Jetta rims are 15".

so all cars that do not have the stock rim size on them look stupid eh?
If they are smaller, then yes.
Beetles have big wheel wells that need to be filled...otherwise the car just looks dumb.
I can appreciate your point about filling out the wheel well, but if the bug has the correct diameter wheel and tire combination, the outside dimensions of the tires are the same for 15" and 16". I wouldn't go to a 15 either- but it could be done with a taller tire, and many people do this in the winter for snow tires - like a 195/65-15 instead of the stock 205/55-16. I seem to remember some issue about the smaller wheels not fitting onto some beetles - possibly due to brake size?
