2004 GTI tire pressures

I guess you haven't done much pumping with these. They take a long time and a lot of work to pump up a big tire even by a few PSI. Ask your wife, girlfriend, or mother to try this sometime.

Also, I need a pump that can reinflate large off-road tires that have been taken down to minimum for maximum traction.

Let's see - they're fragile, hard to read, difficult to position, can easily be thrown off by dirt or other foreign materials getting into the barrel, and have no way of dumping a measured amount of pressure.

That's how I adjust the pressure in car tires at home.

10 strokes per psi is not a lot of work to adjust the pressure of a car tire. You may have a point for large truck tires that start out very deflated.

Never had any difficulty with fragility, difficulty of use, or inaccuracy (compared to a dial gauge in the garage). As far as dumping a measured amount of pressure goes, depressing the tire valve lowers the pressure slowly enough that letting out way too much is unlikely.

Get off your duff and research the meaning of "trolling". It's a useful word that shouldn't be used indiscriminately.
