How hard is it to convert manual windows to power windows? from what I can see just motors, window regulators, window switches, is there any wire harness need? if so how would you install it. what else is needed? on a 96 Jetta GL to be exact.
Thank You,

Wire harnessincluded. I once bought a power door lock kit from this company, qualityproduct and no problems buying from them.

Don't bother with the OEM stuff. It's crap. At least the Mexican sourced stuff in the US is. (haven't had NEAR the problems with the Germany sourced replacements - at least not yet) I've had to mess with them more than anything else on the car. The harnesses break, the regulators break, but strangely enough the motors have been fine.
Bad thing about the harnesses packing it is lots of times it makes the alarm behave very strangely, and CAN immobilize the vehicle from arming the alarm at the wrong time. Spent about half an hour once opening and closing the rear doors to get the wires wiggled around the right way so it'd start. Replaced the harness that weekend. Dealers seem to stock 'em. Not a good sign...
