Does anyone have a ballpark idea of the price of a timing belt job on a 89 Jetta GLi 16v. They're suppose to be changed every 60k miles, right??

You're talking $200-300 in labor at the stealership. Minus, of course, belt and tensioner pulley. Pulley should be changed every time to be safe. Belt 20-30 bucks, tensioner like about 40. Thats if you DON'T get these at the dealer. Indie repair shops a little less probably, but try to find a German auto specialist I guess. Or do it yerself, cost me like $60 in all.
