Hi, I have a 1989 VW Fox. The drivers side door handle broke and I can't figure out how to remove the whole assembly. I removed one screw from the outside and removed the inside door pannel. I dont see any more screws to remove, but the assembly is very tight. I pryed on it and broke a screwdriver, but it didn't budge. Please offer advice. Thanks, Kevin

There are 2 screws. One is behind the trim strip on the door handle, just pop off the trim to get to it. The second is on the rear edge of the door in-line with the handle. Open the door and you should see it.

One more thing. After the 2 screws are removed, the handle needs to be pushed towards the front of the car before it'll come out.

Thanks a Million! I got it. I didnt see that second screw on the end of the door. I broke a snap on screwdriver prying on it. :( Thanks again. kevin
