This is a very special car looking for the right home. One of the first A3 Golfs (chassis #606), the car has been incredibly well maintained. New brakes all the way around, a new battery within the last 12 months, regular oil changes, etc. A/C blows freezing cold, and the sunroof works perfectly.
Upgrades include Bilstein shocks, H&R springs, 15? x 7? Borbets with Goodyear F1RS 195/50s. Also includes almost new snows on steel wheels and the stock wheels with decent rubber. The muffler is stainless steel and sounds great. Not too loud, just nice.
Although everything functions, the car needs some work. The oil pressure warning buzzer goes off at 2000 RPM. Not below, not above.
With 167K miles, it could use a new clutch in the not too distant future. It also burns some oil (about 1qt. per 700 miles).
The left front fender is crunched. It happened while the car was parked, and there was no other damage.
Looking for $1,500 and a good home.
