The original bumper-to-bumper 5 year/60,000 mile warranty transfers automatically. The powertrain warranty reverts to 5 years/60,000 miles.
If you have purchased an extended warranty, the transfer procedure will vary by warranty company. In this case, you should contact the warranty company at the phone number on the contract. Usually, a transfer fee is involved.
