Nova 1.4 SRi and K&N 57i

Hi, has anyone fitted a K&N 57i to a Nova 1.4 SRi? If so did it go straight on with no trouble? And how did it sound/perform? Thanks, Dan

also best to fit 5inch dia exhaust, but you do need to fit 18inch wheels for ground clearance!

just make sure the front fogs are on to activate the extra power :-)

And the "Add 20 BHP modchip" which looks awfully similar to a piece of wire.

Theo waffled on in a quite bewildering manner to produce...

Surely that's a typo, sounded like a Ferrari and went like a tram...

Made it as fast as a ONE LITRE citroen ax!!

Citroen axgt 0-100mph 18.5 seconds. Bmw 525e 0-100mph 23 seconds. Bmw 730i 0-100mph 21 seconds.

All gps verified.

Well lets put it this way, you would still have no chance against my Seicento!!!! (1.1 Sporting)

No, even Nova SRi's are faster than Seicento's. He has 90bhp, you have

54bhp, and you have about the same weight.

Hmmm, looking at the specs your right, the Nova has 82bhp so nearly 30bhp more but the body must weigh quite a bit more as it'll only do 0-60 2 seconds quicker.

oooooo, pissed off now. All I know is that whenever a barry boy tries it at the lights, they haven't got a chance. Never have. Never will.

Oh well, we'll see what it does with the 1.2 punto engine (16v MPI), then if I want more plonk the turbo on that. Specialist reckon on 108bhp out of the 8v 1.1 with a turbo so this 1.2 should be better.

82 is it? I knew it was somewhere round there :) They actually feel quite quick when you're in them...

That the 85bhp 1.2 going in? Cos of the Sei's tiny engine bay you need to have a bonnet bulge don't you :). How cute :).

The 1.2 8v SPI fits like a glove, even uses the same mountings, but yep the bonnet is just that tiny bit to low as standard.

What about a 2.0 20v Coupe Turbo engine, put where the back seats are and a

4x4 conversion? With a full cage round it, lightweight buckets in the front, Coupe 20v Turbo brakes, Avo's all round, a fully mapable set up that i could change with my laptop...fully strengthened internals to stop the engine blowing. Maybe instead of the 20v Turbo lump, one of them Fiat twin cams...Have i gone too far again?

2.9 seconds according to Parkers.

Unless they pull up in a Nova 1.4 SRi apparently :)

/blushes/ The Siecento Sporting, in standard guise at least, is a good match for the Ka on a straight bit of road. The Ka tends to pull away on hillier bits (keeps up on the way up, pulls away on the way down, bwahahahahahaha!).

I spose it's possible that all the ones I've seen are 1 litre ones with

1.4 SRi stickers but not that likely.

Definately on normal roads, my motor comes out on top, maybe it's because it's more like 0-30 of which they seem to be pretty damn quick at. Don't forget the gearbox on the sei is designed for quicker takeoffs.

Oh and to Dervman, I had to borrow one as a curtesy car once, nowhere near as good fun, sorry but as they say, each to their own. I must say, I like the Seat Arosa though :-)

Maybe you're confusing 1.4 SRi with the dog slow 1.3 SR models.

The SRi's actually look quite smart, and will definetely paste a Seicento.
