Anybody with A4???

What should oil temperature be.

I get 100 degrees even in the winter but know it is at 110 degrees and ay 190.00 km/hr it is at 120 degrees. Is it normal?

mine (97 A4 2.4) sits at between 60/70C all the time..................water is dead on 90C when UK ambient = 15/20C

during winter when we are at 0/10C ambient water = 85C. Running up to 70/80mph it then comes up to 90C

have you tried Quaker Oats.......gets you off to a better start.

Well, of course "Dick" asked about OIL temperature, not WATER temperature... ;-)

Fortunately, I don't have an il temp gauge in my car, so I don't really need to worry about it. And I am using Mobil1 0w-40, which is THE sh*t.....

My 2001 A4 2.8L AWD gets 90 degrees. Water temperature gets to 90 degrees a bit faster than the oil temperature, but then the oil temperature catches up (in, roughly, 15 minutes). Hope this helps.

Model 2002 V6 2.4: oil temperature ca. 82-90 Celcius. Yours look like too much.
