 I run a mail route with my blazer,it runs fine in the morning, but after I go about 80 miles it will bog down and buck, you can smell gas,if you turn it off and back on will resume as normal,I put on a new fuel pump and filter,no one knows what it can be,it has been on a machine but picks up nothing,I need help!!!

The smelling of fuel is an important clue.

On my 97 4.3L there is a fuel pressure regulator under the intake plennum. The diaghrphram ruptured and I could smell fuel, truck would run rough but restart. While this is not common, it does happen. They were able to fund it with a pressure tester. The repair was as I recall several hundred. But this is only a guess.

Actually it is sadly common to have a failure of the CFI "spider", and it is a bit expensive to replace.
