See if it does it with the engine off, ignition on? Then in ACC?

With or without the A/C on? If with the A/C on it could be that the system is low on coolant. (A/C system) The only other time I've heard the clicking in the dash was when I had too much corrosion on the battery cables. The truck wasn't getting enough juice. When you hear the clicking do any warning lights on the dash come on? Does the vehicle seem to stumble during the clicking?

You could have a vent door that is stuck and trying to move. At least the warm/cool air blending system appears to be driven by an electric motor that moves in response to where the control is set. Try cycling the output selector as well. Do that with the key on but engine/radio/noisemakers off so you can hear things better.

My brother has a Silverado that has a clicking in the dash also. It is one of the vent doors and only does the click for like a minute before it stops. It does this each time the truck is started.
