1990 Dodge Caravan Transmission Filter Change

Is there a way I can use the gasket that comes with my transmission filter kit and get a good seal. In the past, I would have to revert back to using RTV because the rubber or cork gaskets would always leak.

Get a metal-silicone gasket at the dealer - they work well, are reusable. They may have to order it.

I don't know if that's always true. I was forced to go to Advance to get a filter after I pulled the pan and discovered that the dealer sold me the wrong filter. The one I got from Advance was boxed as an OEM brand (Saginaw IIRC).
