Yes. They were rusted on car transporters before they were ever DELIVERED to the dealer lots! This is nothing new- no one started painting the undersides until they started building so many vehicles where the suspension hangs out and is visible. Even then, pickups were un-painted all through the 80s and into the 90s.

Its not just suspension, either. A co-worker has a brand new Solara convertible, and the exhaust hangs down like something off a clapped-out old Rambler. Its not evey symmetric looking. Grates my eyes every day when I pull in to park near it.

What really bothrered me was when the top-of-the-line Cadillacs looked that way in the mid 90s, though. That was completely inexcusable. Its bad enough on a low-end car.

Even worse, the Toyota RAV-4 and Honda CRV look like the rear wheels are held on with oversized soda straws. And the FWD only versions have a gaping hole where the rear diff should be, and the frame member looks about as substantial as a popsicle stick.

AFAIK, there are no factory v8 minivans. Certainly not Chrysler-made anyway.

Any expletive synonymous with "feces" works for most people.

I remember seeing the first version of the RAV in an airport lobby. The fenders were almost as flexible as aluminum foil. People bought it anyway.

I remember those! My grandmother had one. A '95 DeVille. Bought brand new. Mufflers hung at a bizarre diagonal angle; looked like they were about to fall off.

Yep, and if it was a model that only had a single muffler, you could see that the rear suspension lower control arm was also WAY down low. Really goofball looking cars. And especially since that was about the time when the Seville STS was looking so GOOD (yes, I like mid 90s Sevilles. Sue me. A car like that is what Chrysler should have built instead of the sawed-off looking 300M :-p)

Were the rebates much better for the Durango?

Have you ever heard of a flex-fan? I had one on a SuperBee. Terrible noise

I really like mine but would prefer something larger and comfortable.

I hear the road noise too but it really hasn't bothered me. What does is the windows getting stuck when you have them go down. I always cleaned that black substance that gets stuck on the windows but they still stick.

I also hear some engine noise at low RPMs but nothing is as bad as Piston Slap on my 5.4 Expedition but Ford says it's normal. I can now see why Ford is closing plants.

No more Fords for me.

Consumer Reports just rated the charger. They did not think much of the interior or ride or steering. When I test drove it I had no problems with the ride but the steering is indeed too light. Many reviewers have complained about the sparse interior.
