diagnostic codes for dodge

i heard about the self diagnostic test....how you turn the key on and off 3 times and it gives you the code to tell what exactly is wrong with the car....did it, got the code 3 55.....i know that 55 just means that the self diagnostic test is complete......any one know what the 3 means?
