Has anybody got a cylinder head for a Ford 1500cc engine that is for sale (or give away if you like!). The vehicle is a Ford 1500cc Cortina with an auto gearbox year 1964 but having swopped a lot of Ford engines around I know that a lot models had the same engine. I am situated near the Hants/Surrey/Berks border but the car is in Sri Lanka (where they don't need to put salt on the roads!)

A word of caution, was this a UK/European model Cortina that was privately exported as a complete car or a Ford CKD export intended for the (Ceylon, as was) Sri Lanka market, if the latter then it might be wise to check via the owners club or Ford engine specialist that the engine fitted were the same as the UK spec - casting wise etc. - I once got caught out by different casting patterns being used on the UK spec and African Land Rover engines, fortunately the deft application of a file and/or angle grinder rescued the situation for me, you and your contacts might not be so lucky!
