Hi - how did you get on with the Pertronix unit? Did it arrive, and have you fitted it?

Yes it arrived promptly and efficiently. I started to fit it and then realised that I have a Lucas distributer and not the Delco one I thought I had! No idea where I got that idea from, but I was so convinced I hadn't bothered to check. Doh! I'll stick it on Ebay after Christmas and order the correct one.
(I'm off for the weekend in a minute, so no point replying to tell me what a twit I am!)
Not at all, though that's very frustrating - I bet you kicked yourself! You may recall that other US vendor I found with the same unit around a tenner cheaper - may liaise with the same UK dispatch centre?
Certainly possible. The exchange rate has become even more favourable, so you can probably knock another couple of quid off too!

as I found them the cheapest but is there another supplier even cheaper? I like a bargain :-) The Ignitor set up on my Herald was a revelation, I now have a GT6 convertible to play with and am considering getting another to put on that.

No, mine was from Retro Rockets, i.e. vintageperformance. I was very impressed with their service, especially mailing from the UK avoiding duty etc.
Same experience as me then - good product, fuss free service and a nice price that's getting nicer all the time for us Brits :-)
