I am trying to find out how to remove the heater core in my 1979 camaro. The soft haynes manual is very vague and no pictures. Does anyone know how to remove or where I can get info on how to remove? I would really appreciate any help

Its not fun ...
You have to pull the inner fender well. Then if you have A/C you have to pull the fiberglass A/C box and all related parts. Then you have to go into the interior and pull the glove box and the heater box under the dash.
The more parts you take off....the easier it will be to replace the heater core.
Thank you for the information. I appreciate your getting back as quick as you did.

Toss the Haynes, it's a table prop. As noted, get a GM shop manual---far superior in every way. Joe--ASE Certified Parts Specialist & 10th Ann.Club Tech Director '80 Carousel Red Turbo T/A, 26k orig.
