M'kay, let's calm dyown... heh heh Bruce actually started the grammar-police
issue, so he was goin' off that, even though it was a joke, and ya can't
really blame him for bein' pissed at what was said... I mean, really, he
does drive a Ford... heh heh (hopefully the Ford/GM/Mopar issue is extended
sibling rivalry, considering we've got a lot more to feel derisive about
(ricers) than eachother and we do all have a common opponent... I REFUSE TO
SAY CAN'T WE ALL GET ALONG!!)
Them pricks screwed up our economy, brainwashed almost a whole generation,
and took over the minds of the children of the generation they almost
Now China will be the next in line to send us back scrap as cars. Look out,
it will be a rough road ahead, and that's why GM, Ford and D-C are posturing
heh heh actually, my usage of the phrase, "can't we all just get along", was
more in reference to GM/Ford/Mopar than it was an us vs. them comment, and I
meant it to be mild, if very dated, humor... However, I stand by my
statement that we all have something in common: the fact that our vehicles
are made (or at least designed) in America. Many here and in the 'Stang
group aren't as strongly American nationalist as I am (no, I'm not a Nazi,
they were fascist socialists), but I think most on these two boards at least
acknowledge that American brands - GM, Mopar, Ford - ALL must survive,
thrive, and continue to represent at least some semblance of what they used
to be. Without all three of them, we would lose a large part of American
cultural history and pride - stemming from the greatest time in our nation's
history, the late 40's through the mid 60's (late 60's/early 70's with
cars) - and would only lose more ground to predominately Asian manufacturers
who gained a once-earned, no-longer-applicable reputation in the late 70's -
late 80's for reliability. Personally, I'm sick of hearing about how great
Honda, Toyota, BMW, and Mercedes are, considering they're more difficult to
work on, more expensive to fix, and no more reliable than American cars at
this point in time.
Anyway, this has been my drunken screed for the week. Hope you enjoyed it
for one reason or another.
A little secret I'll let you in on:
I've owned many Fords, and would buy a ford again. But, just couldn't bring
myself to do so with a Dodge/Chrysler product again. Yes, I've owned a few
of them also.
So I'm not a blind GM loyalist, I write this shit and have a hardy laugh,
then sleep like a baby at night. remember, laughter is the best medicine,
and there are a few on the group that know what I'm going through with my
child now, plus the real estate deal I got a major cornholing on.
So, why go postal, when there is humor and laughter?
This is the net, make believe and fun!
I hope you people don't really take this shit seriously, because if you do.
God help you! Zyprexa and any other anti-psychotic won't help you.
Thank you for the laughs people!
It sure would. Only a detective would think I could be two places at
once. Since I was three blocks from home, with a neighborhood girl.. R-K
lives hours away from me, and believe me, I wasn't about to share that
girlie with no one.
Hell, I wasn't taking anything too seriously... I was writing a drunken
screed, like I said, as I've done before in this and many other groups =)
When I write drunken screeds, they typically come out serious, 'cause I'm
extremely opinionated sober and even more extremely vocally opinionated when
I'm drunk... That's where it came from =)
