'96 Explorer ( Eddie Bauer ed.) electric problems

I have a couple of electrical problems - maybe someone can give me a clue to save either big bucks or a lot of wasted time! Windshield wiper will not turn off (and has actually turned on a couple of times) when the weather/motor/etc is hot. I know that the self parking switch, linkage etc. is a bit worn. The question is: can this be adjusted (easily??) or is the only solution to buy a new wiper motor or put an on/off switch in the motor parking feed wire! . I tried holding the wiper blade down after turning it off, which worked, but now I have a dislocated left shoulder! Second question: turn signal indicator switch has started to BUZZ when trying to set right turn signal. This does not happen every time but is occurring more frequently. You can feel the vibration in the lever and when buzzing the turn signals will not work. Today the buzzing occurred about two seconds after I had set the right turn signal. Does anyone know what is causing the buzzing and how to cure it. I don't mind small fiddly repair work - but small fiddly IMPOSSIBLE repairs are frustrating. My guess is a new multifunction switch probably would cost 10% of the value of the vehicle to replace! - And what money is left over from this month's pension just went to the Chiropractor to fix my shoulder!
