97 lincoln towncar no start

my 97 lincoln town car will not start it has fuel pressure and cranks ok but will not start? when i checked for spark at the coil ( disconnecting one wire on each side and cranking ) there was no spark. i figure there has to be a control module issue cause i checked the fuse for the coils and tis ok. any ideas would be of great help i dont want to go out and buy a new control module and just be guessing.

Near the bottom of the engine by the crank pulley at one side of the front is the Crank Position Sensor (CPS). There is a connector with a wire lead to the CPS. Pull the connector off and then push it back on. About 90% of the time, the car will then start. If the car starts, replace the CPS ASAP and use tune-up grease on the connector.
