Climate Control digital display on 95 Mark VIII

Mine is having fits. The whole display blinks like a turn signal and even clicks like a turn signal. All the numbers and letters are lit up when it's flashing and you can't use the heat or air when this is going on. It's random but seems like it happens more in the first 10 minutes of driving. Does anyone know what would solve this problem? It's happening more and more often, Thanks

That's usually a sign that the controller has failed due to a bad solder joint on the circuit board. You might get lucky with cleaning the contacts where the harness connects with an ink eraser. If you are good with a soldering pencil, you can reflow the joints on the circuit board. This will often fix problems such as this.

Will I be able to gain access by sliding out the radio? Is this the normal way to get to it? Thanks
