I have two sables that came with General tires and have replaced all eight tires with same. STAY away from this brand!! They wear like iron, have good grip, but when they get worn (30% tread left) the cords shift and they will shake you to death. When on the front, braking will shake the steering wheel badly. This has happened to almost every tire! I have one now with
75% tread left and it wobbles already! Shame on you General Tire!!!!!!!!Mike

Eh... that's interesting because I've had Goodrich and Yokohama's do the same on my taurus and the tire I use as a test is a General. It's been on the front a lot and doesnt get the the shakes.
I'm thinkin it's a combination of the Taurus suspension and lax build standards on ALL mid-priced tires.
