Return of The FORD Battery Keeper !

Cleaned n painted right front fender well inside under battery/washer fluid reservoir. This is maintenance at 6 years or less with salt.

Scummed with insect debris, lost lineman's plier$, one hex key fossilized onto shelf leaving rust streak. Paint's good but the truck has not gone thru salt or major rainfall periods.

When new painted upper inside well under A/C condenser with 3 coats quality urethane spray paint. No rust on drip surface, rust streak from cable holder hole. Use Rusto clean metal primer brush on and gloss white for this bottom area. Sticks.

Cut the reservoir pump cable, solder later, turn reservoir clockwise pull out against upper inside fender toward engine side.

Bottom surface is accessible for electric drill with wire rotary and cup brushes.

Set a floor fan atop batt area at 83 degrees curing in 5 hours.

Left side next thru an access port after removing grille. Moving fuse box/power steering reservoir is an unknown. Advice ?

we're on a cross country trip.

The truck is carrying slightly more weight on the right with a half tank of gas.

So we staggered tire's air pressure against the carried weight and road camber pumping 8 more pounds into the right rear than left rear, 4 more pounds into right front than left. All 4 pumped up to hard for mileage.

Results are less effort in driving, more straight ahead with a slight loss in Houston's oil covered decreasing radius concrete elevated roadway curves but ...on the whole a positive adjustment.
