CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ANY INFO ON FLAT HEAD STRAIGHT 6 LIKE A REPAIR MANUAL OR SOME THING LIKE THAT

I'm pretty sure the nearest dealer could give you a repair manual, but he'd probably want some money in return.

What year and model engine?

No need to shout...go to your local library and check-out a repair manual....

Will agree, turn off the bloody cap lock.

On responses so far, the dealer is not going to have a repair manual for an engine that ceased production 50+ years ago. And I doubt very many libraries will have a manual ether. Hemmings, or search the internet for web sites devoted to the year of your rig, and there will probably be links to sources of manuals.

How about a year and motor size!

never saw a inline flathead ford six.

As late as 1953 the Ford F-100 was available with a 254 cid L-head

6 cylinder engine.

He is probably too young to have seen one of those old L-heads or perhaps even a flathead 8.... Dave D

its a 1947 f100 not sure of the motor

worked in a busy rebuild machineshop since 1968 . thought id seen em all , just blank on a ford flathead 6 .

If it has the original flat head 6, its 226 cid engine. From 41-47 it was rated 90hp, but 47-51 it was rated 95 hp.

is a good source of engine parts.
