You've got your work cut out for you Mitch. You'll need to transplant the wiring harness - which likely will not have all the right places for things to plug together, the ECM, the exhaust, etc. You'd be a lot better off sticking another 350 in it. That 4.3 isn't an awful lot of motor.

You'll also have to replace the fan shroud, the 4.3 shroud is longer due to the block being further back in the engine compartment.

yeah, I'd sell the 4.3 on Craigslist or Ebay and buy a 5.7 for your 1500. Or isntead of selling the 4.3, maybe buy an S10 or 1500 that originally came with a 4.3 that is now blown, and then put your good 4.3 in it, for use as a spare truck or to sell for a profit.
