2000 cherokee damage

May 04, 2006 4 Replies

Hi All,

I have a 2000 jeep cherokee (regular not grand) and I was hit on the RF side while parked somewhere...pretty good slap. its right where the nice silver letters read "sport". I really do not want to go to the dealership to get this fixed but if I go somewhere else, how will they get the letters? i was told at the dealership that they would have to replace the entire door, but who can really trust those guys anyway. any advice?

Try eBay, I've gotten a bunch of bits and pieces for my Cherokee there, including a replacement "Jeep" logo for the hood.

Any respectable body shop will get you the correct parts. Get only OEM parts or you'll end up with fitment and rust issues.

ok, thanks for the replies. i will make sure whoever I take it too gets the correct parts. I was just unsure if they still made the letters as the body style has been out for a few years.

Should be no problem at all. Keep us posted.
