Hello All
My wife and I were considering buying the 06 Commander and wanted to see what others thought of this vehicle. Has anyone heard of any major issues or potential problems with this model?
Thanks in Advance!!

Jeremy did pass the time by typing:
Like any "year one" vehicle, buy one and be the first to find out. :)
I'd actually wait one year, that seems to be the time it takes for any major bugs to get fixed. It took about three years to fix all the issues with my 93.
I will ditto that. As an owner of high end GC that I purchased new in
2001 (Thank God I didn't pay any near the list price), it will be the last Jeep product I will purchase. Also check

Hey Jeremy,
While at my Jeep dealership recently we got into a conversation with the finance guy there. We kind of clicked with him when we bought the Jeep, and he always comes out of his office to BS with us. They have a Commander in the showroom and we started talking about it. He pointed a few things to us, it may be things you had not yet considered
1) When you open that back gate - watch out for the window! It's worse than the Liberty. 2) Put someone in that rear row of seats, or just pop the seats up, and try to look out the rear window. Have a GOOD look at the interior, comfort and convenience. Make sure they fit, like arm rests, cup holders, heater controls (DC's idea of LOW fan is still a blast compared to what I was used to.Drive it, try everything, and remember, it's still an SUV and off road will suffer from the same shortcomings that the rest of them do.
I love my Liberty, but there were things I didn't look at and I regret it because I might have made a different choice Best of luck
Kate
2O]]]]]]]O5 Liberty With some extra stuff on it.If you want an ugly-looking car, you can overlook some of these shortcomings...........

Jeremy proclaimed:
It makes a really nice box to carry your Wrangler around in....
Jim proclaimed:
Don't forget that one man's ugly is another man's jeep.
