the "bandwagon" argument isnt going to get you anything. bill contributes _way_ to much to this newsgroup and jeepers everywhere to let some off topic bullshit do anything.

to the contrary bill, thank YOU for all the tips, advice, and links you give out daily.
as for all the off topic stuff, even when i dont agree with you i do have a lot of respect for your conviction to your beliefs....a rarity anymore.
I certainly agree that Bill contributes constructively on a number of topics and questions, and his library of links is better than Google. But he does have a lower signal-to-noise ratio than some of the other regulars, and when he goes off, he goes WAY off. I also see Jerry's point that when Bill's wrong and gets his back up as he sometimes does, newbies who don't know better can come away without knowing the real story. On the whole, it's pretty much like most else in life - there's good, and there's bad.
Nathan, if I ever move to Montana, will you teach me to weld? ;)
