i understand. in my industry the markup is a good bit higher (gotta pay for epa mandates, gotta make it up elsewhere).
Is he talking markup, or profit? 20% profit when it's all said and done is pretty damn good generally.
i guess it would depend upon your industry. within my industry you have to have much larger markups (sometimes as much as 400%) just to cover the expensive government mandates and still make any money.
