It hasn't been run as far as we know since the new pistons were installed, but that's the way he got it when he bought the VJ. It did get some rainwater in the head when the plastic bag covering it torn in a windstorm. This accounts for the small discolleration on the pistons, but my dad said it isn't frozen up or anything. Since that time it has been stored inside just the way you see it.

I guess I am not seeing the crack you are seeing.

I would suggest if anyone is interested in it, to call my dad at the number listed. He knows a lot more about engines than I do.
