Alright, I love my Jeep. Sweet 2000 Sport, silver and lovely. The problem isshe is out of warranty and starting to give me problems. I figure it's timeto trade her in (don't tell her) for a new one, but I am upside down in theJeep by a few grand and that wouldn't afford me the luxury of buying a newone... or even a used one with a 6 cyl.It seems the best I could afford would be a 2003 SE model, around 15-16kplus whatever my negative equity is. I always said I'd never own another 4cylinder, but I'm getting desperate.So please... fill me in on the performance of the SE.Thanks.

Like all things, it depends. If all you want is a no-frills, "will never bebuilt" daily driver that won't see a lot of high speed highway use, it'sfine. For most anything else, it sucks. Hey, that's why there's the 4.0L!

Gee, nobody better tell some of the folks that come on Jeep trips with me that....

I have been totally surprised every time someone tells me they have the

4 banger under the hood.

They kept up with me at legal speeds on the highway and had no issues at all off road.
