Try comparing apples to apples. Oh, I guess you can't if it doesn't fit your agenda.

Yeah bill I googled it too. Please cite the link where, as you stated, US taxpayers are funding coal to diesel research in Canada.
The Neon's about 400 hp shy of 1700....and the 762 pump gas ci engine by Auto Shop Racing is rated on their site at 1500.
Got it. You can't back it up.
You said 1700 hp, that's what I'm questioning.

Supercharged engines. Not the same as a Boss 429 or even a Chrysler 426 hemi. A Keith Black supercharged engine is a far cry from what you were describing.
You obviously have never set up the clutches for a Top Fuel car have you? Every car on the track has more horsepower than they can utilize, it's the clutch set up that wins races.

You really didn't expect him to, did you? Bill can spew anything he'd like and he thinks we HAVE to take it as fact, but as soon as we give him facts, he calls us a liar or some other nonsense like a little girl.
He would be funny if he didn't take himself seriously. But he feels like this newsgroup is his and he can do whatever he wants.
Ever wonder why people don't stick around here very long? The sad part is that other here try to justify Bill and his ridiculous arguments. I won't be chased away and I have come to enjoy watching Bill take on so many people without his realization that just maybe, there are others that may know as much if not more than him.
He truly is a sad grumpy old man. Jim Smith
You made a statement and Matt asked you to post factual backup and then you say there isn't any. Back up your statements with fact, not Bill's Basement "Fact"ory. Why can't you just stick to the facts, not your opinion? You do know these two are different don't you?
Facts. Bill's Opinion. Not always one in the same.

Never said it could not be. You said US taxpayers were paying for it in Canada. You did not back it up with a URL, as you just told Jim. What do you call a person who says things that are not true? A liar?
So how far can that Pro Stock motor go before it breaks ? (Ignoring that 7.5 gallons per minute fuel consumption on 118 octane gas). Since we are being a bit silly comparing a racing car engine to a road engine, I'll join in.
1700 hp for 830 ci per your link is 2hp per ci ; the 181 ci Formula 1 engines are putting out 800hp from their OHC engine ; pro rata that would make it 3600 hp for an engine that can run for 2 hours.Dave Milne, Scotland '91 Grand Wagoneer, '99 TJ
