OT newsreader questions

I have issue's with RR too. Since I've switched to a newsreader I still go back to Google groups via my browser once in a while.Unless I'm doing somethin wrong messages appear first in google groups!

I'm using a free newsgroup server. It doesn't allow binaries but you can post and read text. Try it out, it's better than Google, IMHO. Just enter nntp.aioe.org in your ng server field, no username/password required. Here's the webpage if you need more info.

Yeah, I'm still using google groups on the ibook, haven't gotten around to using the aioe on my desktop, but I have the link open in a tab, I just have to get a few minutes to do it. I should be good to go sometime tonight, barring any unforeseen complications.

Very likely you are trying to post in HTML. I am still not 100% sure I have thunderbird posting in text only....

I would try 'tools', options, composition, general and send option and put the text only site's address in the box shown for it.
